Holy cow, I'm on month 3! As in, I'm almost done with my second trimester? Well, sorta. Few more weeks to go :p We hosted our first Thanksgiving last week, and it went SO well! The turkey was amazing, thanks mostly to my Dad who kept checking on it and telling me the smoke was 'no big deal' lol. We told everyone about little tadpole, and everyone was so excited for us! They kept making me sit down and doing things for me, which was lovely! I'd say it was a great success, and I'm glad I don't have to do it for another two years ;)
Let's see, what else... Oh next week is our first appointment! I can't wait to hear the heartbeat! We are going to look at daycares next week, which is a bit terrifying. I feel like I should look more pregnant before going to those, but 12 weeks is right at Christmas-time, which means we wouldn't be able to go look until probably mid-January. Might as well get it done now!

7 Weeks
Another week has gone by, and what a week it was. I've been pretty miserable between being congested and having an incredibly sore back. Nothing really happening other than feeling like crud :p

Week 6, or the week we bought the babymobile!
We bought a car! Eeek! My old car, a 2-door Hyundai Accent, was not going to work with a baby seat. We had planned on buying a new car *soon* but with our tadpole growing fast, we thought it was best to start paying on it now, to get our budget set before the baby comes. We bought a 2009 Jetta, Certified Used, with about 24K miles. It's blue and beautiful! I absolutely love it. It has a moonroof, leather seats, and a great sound system. Most importantly, it's safe and has room for tadpole! It's great! :)
In non-car related news... I'm 6 weeks and 2 days today! I actually feel pretty good, other than a really sore back and being sleepy. The morning sickness hasn't kicked in yet, and I'm hoping that means it won't at all!! I had a little in week 4, but the nurse suggested B6, which must be working! (knocking on wood) I was a bit worried about the weight I gained in the last week or so (3 pounds already?!) but it looks like it was just water weight, because I'm back on the 'normal' weight gain track.
We told Jason & VeLisa about the baby this weekend, and they were so sweet and happy for us! V is already planning the baby shower :) We are still waiting to tell the rest of the family until Thanksgiving- figure it's a great holiday surprise. I'm hoping that I still feel this good at Thanksgiving, or poor Matt will have to take over turkey duty!

Week 5!
Well, it's been about a week since we found out we were expecting our little tadpole. What a week! We told my mom and sisters right away, because I needed someone to ask advice of and I knew I couldn't keep it quiet around my sisters every day! This weekend we are telling his brother and wife, and I know they will be thrilled! The plan is to tell Matt's parents and my Dad on Thanksgiving. We are (hopefully) buying me a new car next week, and we are going to put a 'baby on board' sign on it, so when we show them the car, TA DA! Baby! :)
I've started to really feel 'pregnant' this week, even though I'm only 5 weeks 2 days at this point. I've started to feel queasy around some foods, and needed to take B6 for nausea. We are still going for our walks most days, although my hips have started to bother me a bit. Isn't it a bit early for this?! I can noticeably see my stomach getting bigger, too! How crazy is that? I haven't gained any weight, in fact I've lost half a pound, but I'm eating as much as I can keep down. I've been incredibly tired in the afternoons, but can't manage to sleep past 6am.
I told my two bosses on Monday, because I could feel myself slowing down, and wanted them to know what the deal was. I plan on waiting to tell the rest of my co-workers after my first appointment on December 4th, but we'll see if Kevin can keep his mouth shut!
Oh, and we started the nursery! We painted one wall blue with yellow stars, and it looks gorgeous. We are waiting to see what we are having to plan out the rest; we think a decal on the opposite wall would be cool. We are both dying to start buying stuff, but I think we are going to try and hold off until X-mas to make any purchases.
So far, I can still focus (a bit) on my schoolwork. I only have one more paper left, and then I can take a break and focus on my minion! :)
