11ish

Wow, I'm almost out of the first trimester! Things are going both better and worse. I get crazy tired for no reason occasionally, but don't have to eat every hour and overall, feel more like 'me' and less like 'crazy preggo lady.' I can't really tell if my bump is getting bigger or if I just ate too many kolaches this morning. I need to take another weekly picture! I've started to realize that being pregnant (and then being a mom) opens you up to a whole new world of advice and criticism, and it's irritating the hell out of me. I've had people comment on my food choices, my boobs getting bigger, asking me constantly how I'm feeling, telling me not to carry things, etc etc. WHY is it your business? Just tell me I look great and leave it at that! I'm not an invalid. Phew, rant over. It's just irritating as hell.

BUT, the holidays are coming! Matt and I were going to go to San Antonio for a few days over break, but I've been having weird bouts of exhaustion that I think would not be conducive to a great time on vacation. I'm also worried about money, because day care is stupid expensive. When I have a better idea of our finances for the year, THEN we will take an awesome trip! Instead, we decided to go see my mom, grandma, and sisters for the day on X-mas, and maybe take a day trip to Austin later in the week. I can't wait to have a week off to relax and get the house cleaned up! I finally had a burst of energy yesterday and cleaned the poor, neglected bathrooms...

Week 9/10

I really have no idea what week I'm on now, because our first ultrasound dated me a few days earlier. For the clarity of it, I'm just sticking with my original due date, at least until our next ultrasound.

Side note on the first ultrasound, the ultrasound tech was kind of a B and was like... here's the heartbeat, for literally half a second. I was pissed. I'm going to say something  at our next appt, to see if we can listen to it again. Half a second is not enough!! I want more!! More little pictures of tadpole!!

So, let's say I'm 10 weeks :p We told eeeeveryyyboodyyy, so the whole world knows about tadpole! Everyone is very excited and I'm getting all kinds of advice :p I've been feeling better on some days, and have more energy this week, but the crazy weather changes have been wreaking havoc with the rest of my body. I'm starting to very anxiously count down until Xmas break, where we get over a week off of work! EXCITED! We are going to San Antonio for a couple days, and it will probably be our last vacation for quite some time.  I found a neat restaurant called Texas de Brazil that gives you ENDLESS MEAT CHOICES. We're going. :D


Oh, we got the nursery started! I need to remember to start posting pictures... We went to IKEA on Friday and got a crib, dresser, rug, and really cute lamp, and it looks awesome! We have a lot more to do, but it's pretty clearly a nursery now :p

The rest of my house is a bit of a disaster.... just don't have the energy to care about cleaning most days. Oh well.
