Soo yesterday was a bit stressful, but it ended well. On monday I noticed that my feet had started swelling, so I put them up on pillows. Tuesday morning they still hadn't gone down, and my left leg was starting to feel weird. Whenever I took a step my left foot felt tingly and sorta squishy. I managed to convince myself to call the nurse's line, because I was worried it was early preeclampsia or something like that. The nurse said I should come in right away, which of course freaked me out, and on my way to the car, she called back and said I was being sent for a doppler (ultrasound) of my leg to make sure I didn't have any blood clots. At this point I'm REALLY worried, but I go to the appt and get it done. I call Matt on the way and get him nice and worried :p They don't tell me anything either way after the doppler, so I head back to work and wait for results. About an hour later they call and say it was clear (YAY) but they still want me to come in. I'm seeing a different doctor at the moment because my usual OB is out on maternity leave. He's very nice and says basically that my pelvic area is filling up with baby, which is in turn pushing on various nerves and blood vessels, which is why my legs are doing wonky things. He tells me there is nothing to worry about and let's me hear baby's heartbeat, which sounds great! I'm so glad it was nothing, but I'm glad I called, because it could have been serious.
I was so worried the whole time that something was wrong with baby, and I'm overwhelmingly relieved that there isn't. We also got to schedule our gender scan for Feb 27th, which is awesome!! Can't wait to find out!
